Tuesday Afternoon Hall Set up (Vernon)

Date: Third Tuesday of each month

Time: 12 pm to 3pm

Tuesday afternoons we set up the hall for receiving and parceling out produce. This involves setting up tables, bringing up blue bins, drop clothes, scales and various supplies from the basement. If you can lift up to 50lbs that would be wonderful but not required.

Wednesday Morning to early Afternoon (Vernon)

Date: Third Wednesday of each month

Time: Various shifts 8 am- 4 pm

We always need volunteers at the Anglican Church in Vernon on the Wednesday morning until early afternoon to help unload the delivery trucks, weigh produce, pack boxes and start setting up for distribution day on Thursday.

Thursday Delivery Driver (Vernon Area)

Date: Third Thursday of each month

Time: Various shifts and routes 9 am- 2 pm

We need delivery drivers with a vehicle to deliver boxes door to door. We deliver primarily to customers with mobility issues and to elementary schools.
For this reason we require that a criminal record check with vulnerable sector be submitted.

We pay an honorarium per box delivered.

Thursday Morning Distribution Day (Vernon)

Date: Third Thursday of each month.

Time: 8 am – 12 pm

We need volunteers at the Anglican Church in Vernon to help load bulk produce into vehicles headed to the outer areas.

Then prepare for GFB distribution in the afternoon. Duties include produce box assembly, preparing elementary school deliveries, as well as cleaning up and organizing the site in preparation for distribution in the afternoon.

Thursday Afternoon Distribution Day (Vernon)

Date: Third Thursday of each month.

Time: Various shifts 1 – 7 pm

We need volunteers at the Anglican Church in Vernon to build produce boxes, distribute the boxes to customers arriving onsite and cleaning up.

Thursday General Assistants (Enderby, Armstrong, Lumby or Westside)

Date: Third Thursday of each month

Time: 8 – 10 am

We need one or two volunteers to help pick up produce, assemble boxes and distribute Good Food Boxes in their respective communities.

Become a Distribution Site (North Okanagan)

Are you interested in hosting a Good Food Box Distribution day in your area? We would like to see the GFB make it into more communities throughout the North Okanagan. Volunteer site hosts would be responsible for picking up boxes from All Saints United Church in Vernon on the third Thursday of each month then transporting those boxes to your area for distribution. Please reach out with your suggestions.

Become a Good Food Box Champion (North Okanagan)

We are in search of energetic and organized individuals who would like to promote the Good Food Box at schools and businesses. Our GFB Champion would facilitate the ordering and distribution of the Good Food Box in their school or business.

Social Media Liason

Are you a wiz on the computer? Do you enjoy volunteering from home? We are looking for someone who would like to help post to our blog and social media on a regular basis. This includes creating fun and informative posts and graphics for our social media and newsletter.
