These were won in a raffle at the Interior Provincial exhibition September 2018. We were chosen as their charity of the year. The first one by the veggies was a food box for 6 months and the chair was a raffle from Beachcomber store to raise funds for the program.

Seasonal giving came early this year as the Armstrong Garden Club distributed funds to support local food initiatives and community programs. “Thanks to the community, we had a successful plant sale this past May. We’re using the funds we’ve raised to support others in the community that could use a helping hand,” says Glenn Gytenbeek, President of the Armstrong and District Garden Club. A Huge Thank You to the Alpine Book Store! The Good Food Box Society received $500 from the Alpine Book Store which is a volunteer book exchange  They gave out $17,000 this fall to programs in the area . This $500 will sponsor 25 large good food boxes for hungry families.
